Construction consortium Levvel (BAM, Van Oord and Rebel) is currently working for Rijkswaterstaat on the reinforcement of the Dutch Afsluitdijk. The aim of the project is to make the entire dike overflow-resistant, so that water can spill over the dike in the event of a severe storm. Earlier this year while dredging in an area where no UXO were expected, a sea mine was  found. In order to ensure the continuity of the project, UXO detection company Bodac, which was already performing an UXO investigation on behalf of Levvel, asked T&A Survey to provide support. So far Bodac and T&A have found ten sea mines along the Afsluitdijk.

T&A Survey is currently carrying out a geophysical soil survey on an industrial site for a large engineering firm. The aim is to map the specific electrical resistance in the soil. In this study, we chose to use electrical resistance measurements (ERT).

T&A Survey is currently conducting a large combined survey into the possible presence of UXO and WWII archaeological values for the entire municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, with over 900 km2 the largest municipality in the Netherlands. This municipality also includes the town of Offingawier, where an American bomber crashed in WWII.

For a combined geophysical survey of the waterbottom (UXO, archeology and obstacles), T&A Survey has prepared the magnetometer Scan Fish to perform a survey simultaneously with the subbottom profiler. In an earlier stage of this project, side scan sonar was used in combination with multi-beam echo sounder.

The TISA 2D Borehole Radar, developed by T&A Survey, is a simple, safe and clear way to collect data about the subsurface. The TISA 2D can be used in a variety of shallow and deep underground applications where surface radar is not possible. In 2020, the T&A developed TISA 2D was leased by a client from the United States for the execution of two projects: a gold mine in Colorado and a bridge in New York.
