T&A Survey's R&D team has developed a self-propelled, remote-controlled survey vessel that can measure areas of several hectares in shallow water.
Surveys in shallow water
The survey vessel has a draft of less than 25 cm including the engines, which means that it can be used at water depths from as little as 30 cm. Ordinary survey vessels cannot be used in areas where the water is this shallow. However, this is not a problem for the Catamadrone.
Remote Areas
Another advantage of the Catamadrone is that it can be assembled and dismantled on the waterfront. All waters are accessible, even locations inaccessible for cars and trailers.
High quality data
The Catamadrone has been developed in such a way that the steering and powering of the vessel causes no disturbances in the measurement data, resulting in high-quality data.
